Thrown from dark iron rich clay with local, unrefined clay inclusions that emerge from under the Cornish stone and Dolomite glaze in some places. The rim was pinched and drawn out while the clay was very soft.

Fired to around 1300°C in a gas and wood kiln in a reduction atmosphere
