A larger drinking bowl made a brand new clay blend which I've developed this year with a tried and tested ash glazed surface. The clay blend is a high iron clay based around two types of English ball clay, a Cornish fire clay and a Welsh river sand I've collect locally. It's given me a really satisfying textured clay body with a dark colour and speckle. Thrown, deeply textured and turned turned foot ring.
The bowl is glazed with my Cornish Stone and Dolomite glaze with Nuke type ash glaze pours
Gas/wood fired to around 1300°C in a reduction atmosphere.
6cm tall x 14.8cm diameter at the rim
